Named by nationally syndicated movie critic Kam Williams as "The Number One director of 2005," Hisani Dubose is a woman of tireless energy. The co-owner, writer, and producer of New Jersey-based Seventh Generations Productions, DuBose's THE VANISHING BLACK MALE, a searing documentary commentary on the lack of responsible, resourceful and upstanding Black men in America, one of Indiepixfilms.com's top-selling titles! Among the laurels the film has garnered is the "Broader Vision" award at the 2006 Garden State Film Festival.
Hisani's biography is a testament to her passion and motivation. Along with being an award-winning documentarian, DuBose has also received accolades for her screenwriting, being named a quarter finalist in director Francis Ford Coppola's 2005 American Zeotrope Screenwriter Competition. In her theatre producing role, Dubose has co-produced Off-Broadway plays and serves as a programmer for Newark's New Jersey Performing Arts Center. She has also contributed to stage as a vocalist, choreographer, dancer, and musician.
