Meira Blaustein - Co-Founder of Woodstock Film Festival

Meira Blaustein is the Co-Founder/Executive Director of the Woodstock Film Festival. She is a native of Israel and graduated from the School of Visual Arts in NYC. She has also studied at the Art Institute of San Francisco and at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.

Blaustein has nearly three decades of experience in producing, film making and directing short films and documentaries. Her work includes “Reaching out with Theater”, “The Monster Metropolis”, and “For the Love of Julian”, a full-length documentary narrated by Susan Sarandon about severely disabled children, inspired by Blaustein's son. Blaustein has served as Special Events Producer and Program Director for film festivals and programs throughout New York State. She has coordinated screenings, concerts, seminars and directed a multitude of screenplay readings at venues such as The Knitting Factory in NYC. She is a member of NYWIFT and IFP.
