Larry Fessenden - "Trigger Man", Producer and "Liberty Kid", Actor
Larry Fessenden is an acclaimed Producer/Director and character actor focusing his efforts in the independent horror film genre. Fessenden grew up on the Upper East Side of Manhattan and attended the Andover Preparatory School. Dissatisfied with his education, he dropped out, obtained his GED and enrolled in film making and acting courses at New York University.
In 1985, Fessenden created his own independent production company called Glass Eye Pix, which produces other directors' works that share Fessenden's appreciation for independent horror films. His first and second features, “No Telling”(1991) and “Habit”(1996) achieved raved reviews and developed a devoted cult following, which inspired the creation of what is known as the director's “Urban Paranoia” trilogy. He won the 1997 Independent Spirit Award, The Williamsburg Brooklyn Film Festival Audience Award and Certificate of Excellence Awards for the feature “Habit”. Fessenden's 2006 feature, “The Last Winter”, has accumulated the most glowing reviews to date, which features a group of Arctic oil workers who are confronted by a supernatural entity. He also won the Woodstock Film Festival's Maverick Award in 2001 for his feature “Wendigo”.
In 2000, Fessenden established himself as a character actor, appearing in such films as “Broken Flowers”(2005) and “The Brave One”(2007) earning him comparisons to Jack Nicholson. Fessenden has successfully split himself three ways by directing his own work, producing other directors work by way of Glass Eye Pix, and becoming an actor himself.
