WE CANNES DO IT NEXT YEAR!

Cannes will occur without the presence of Team IndiePix this year, unfortunately, but we have friends and filmmakers who will be channeling our spirit and fighting the good fight for us. Our friend Thoma Kikis, partner in Ovie Entertainment, producer of DARKON, and a co-producer with Documentary Acquisitions head Danielle DiGiacomo and JOHNNY BERLIN director Dominic DeJoseph on the PROMISCUOUS STORIES feature, will be scouring the sands for some generous investors. DeJoseph, meanwhile, has had a one-minute short selected in the Short Film Corner, while Eliza Mishto, who has signed with IndiePix for her IDFA-premiering documentary, STATES OF MIND, will be pitching her latest project.

INDIEPIX ANNOUNCES PARTNERSHIP TO PRODUCE JOHN YOST'S THE BRAVE & THE KIND

IndiePix, in association with Nameinuse, is proud to announce a partnership to produce the follow up to John Yost's debut feature, EVERY GOOD THING TO RUST, titled THE BRAVE & THE KIND. The high definition feature, to be shot in upstate New York, will be directed by John Yost, executive produced by IndiePix President Bob Alexander, and produced by IndiePixer Jason Tyrrell.

THE BRAVE & THE KIND is a relationship drama, detailing the trials of a middle-class family coping with addiction and loss, centered on the family's oldest son, John. Yost explains that, while much in the film is autobiographical, this is not a biopic. "THE BRAVE & THE KIND uses my life as a starting off point, and examines what would happen if it traveled down a dark, parallel path. It is not about me, but what I could become if certain choices were made in the face of an extreme set of circumstances."

IndiePix is proud to offer a platform for a truly independent filmmaker to not only explore a highly personal story, but to experiment within the new paradigm of film distribution, one supported by the latest technologies. "Production and distribution of THE BRAVE & THE KIND will be a highly-interactive event, engaging the viewer not solely as audience, but as creators of their own experience." Jason Tyrrell declares. "The fan will have access to new content at every level of development and production, from script stage to final edit, through the film's online home on IndiePix."

John Yost's project is just one of the films IndiePix will be releasing this year, in our continuing commitment to expand the scope and audience of independent film. Check back soon for upcoming announcements about IndiePix Studios, and where to access the news, videos, blogs, and contests surrounding THE BRAVE & THE KIND.
