  ESCAPE FROM SUBURBIA    5/6
Beyond the American Dream ...

Suburbia and all it promises has become the American Dream. With brutal honesty and a touch of irony, THE END OF SUBURBIA explores the American way of life and its prospects as the planet enters the age of Peak Oil. Through personal stories and interviews, this sequel examines how declining world oil production has already begun to affect modern life in North America. Expert scientific opinion is balanced with "on the street" portraits from an emerging global movement of citizen's groups who are confronting the challenges of Peak Oil in extraordinary ways. And the clock is ticking ...

This insightful documentary from director Gregory Greene won the grand prize at the 2007 Rhode Island International Film Festival, and is available on IndiePix. (more)

  PREACHING TO THE PERVERTED    5/13
A film about lust, law, and latex...

Peter, an innocent and upstanding young man, is dispatched by moral crusaders in Parliament to infiltrate fetish clubs operating all over Britain, and to gather evidence for a private prosecution. He finds himself quickly thrust into an unfamiliar world of sex, glamour, and S&M games in a mesmerizing underground society lorded over by sex goddess Tanya Cheex. Slowly taken in by this powerful, sexual woman, Peter finds himself infatuated, and pushes her to become 'normal' and avoid prosecution. She wants to destroy his ideas of 'love' and 'normalcy', reforming him into her latest and greatest sex slave. But who will win?

Peter's journey is amusing and upbeat, even as his adventures turn increasingly more bizarre. Drawn from accounts from the 90's underground sex scene, this film plays in an audio/visual arena far removed from the traditional realism of British cinema.

Perhaps unexpectedly, PREACHING TO THE PERVERTED has screened at over 20 film festivals, winning the Audience Award at Cinekink and taking home Best Actress honors for the performance of star Guinevere Turner (The L Word) at the festival in Beziers, France. (more)

OFF THE GRID has screened at over 20 major film festivals, including Slamdance, True/False, AFI Los Angeles, and the Sarasota Film Festival, and won the Jury Award at the 2007 Ann Arbor Film Festival.   MANANA   5/27
MANANA is about procrastination, or how the road to hell is paved with good intentions...
