Directed by rock and roll legend David Byrne, ex-frontman of the Talking heads, this documentary provides an in-depth look at the dance and music rituals of the Yoruban religion in Brazil. Originally brought to Brazil by African slaves, the Yoruban tradition is kept alive in the rituals of this troupe of singers, drummers and dancers, who commemorate and celebrate the African diaspora in South America while furthering the causes of anti-racism and peace between all cultures.
