What is IndiePix Download?

In August 2008, filmmaker Brian Fender posted an add on Craigslist to solicit volunteers for a documentary project. He invited "subjects" into his living room to strip down and reveal themselves physically and emotionally through personal stories about their relationship to their penises. Fender interviewed a vast cross-section of anonymous, naked men about their prized appendage: from monks to transsexuals to ex-marines to designers, ranging in age from 21 to 80. Hoping to demystify, illuminate, and even celebrate this "member" in our society, this DIY documentary is a candid exploration of what it means to have a dick.

A fascinating and long overdue documentary that looks at--literally--and records each participants' personal view of the size of their penises, its impact on their lives from boyhood to becoming men. It's a movie that unmasks a crucial aspect of the cruel conditioning, starting at birth, of what of makes a man a real man. That totally unreal creation of society known as the "masculine image." Also, this film opens a window that let's us see--just by talking about their penises-- how vulnerable men are in actuality, i.e., human. Bravo! Let's have more documentaries, AND movies with frontal nudity, that discuss and/or show the naturalness of the male member. 'Cause when it comes right down to it: a dick is just a dick--period.

Part of being a man is living with a penis, appreciating it, marveling at the wonder of it, dealing with the emotional dilemmas a penis can cause such as is it the right color or shape or size, and certainly enjoying the incredible pleasure it can provide. All of these issues are addressed in Brian Fender's delightful film "Dick." Brian interviews a number of men that are nude as they discuss the way their penises have impacted their lives. As a man, I identified with many of them. Other men will too. Women will not only see an amazing variety of colors, shapes and sizes, they will finally see what having a penis is like from a man's perspective. Highly recommended.
