David Gedge is one of Britain's most lauded, loved, and prolific singer/songwriters, having helmed indie-rock outfit The Wedding Present before going on to form Cinerama with wife Sally Murrell. The former was one of the most successful indie-pop bands of the late 80's, releasing a wide array of eclectic though accessible fare. Cinerama has gone on to become a vehicle for Gedge's personal tastes, manifesting his love for film music while maintaining his characteristic level of heartfelt, but not precious, songwriting. This documentary follows Cinerama on the road as they tour the country to promote their 2003 album, TORINO. Audiences join them backstage at concerts, watch them perform and give interviews, and listen in as the group plays an acoustic version of The Wedding Present's "Corduroy" in Gedge's house. Gedge also provides illuminating insight into his artistic influences, speaking candidly about his inspirations, favorite records, and musicians.
