Directors Rich Charnoski and Coan Nichols (FRUIT OF THE VINE) reunite for this riveting documentary about some of America's greatest skateparks. The Pacific Northwest has emerged as a haven for all of the country's serious skaters, particularly for those who revel in the luxuries of custom craftsmanship. The film focuses particularly on these custom built skateparks: the oysters of Northwest skating.

Hit the road with some of this sport's most exciting athletes as they go about designing, sculpting, and finally, test driving the greatest skateparks around. Red, Munk, Sage, Peter Hewitt, Matt Dyck, Greek, Royce Nelson, Crooked Arm, Pete the Ox, Ben Krahn, Ryan Johnson, Shaggy Blessed and many others all do what they do best, making for some truly exhilerating runs. The skaters also make for fascinating tourguides, cracking jokes, expounding on their DIY philosophy, talking about old times and taking the audience for an inside look at the M&M Skateboard facility, the Portland pipes and the well kept secret, Montana bowl.

Shot on Black & White Super 8 Northwest has a stark, gritty look that brings home all the blood, sweat and tears of one of America's fastest growing sports.
