Indiepix is proud to provide three of its finest activist documentaries, together in one box set and just in time for the holidays! From the harsh hills of Afghanistan to your own backyard, these documentaries are sure to bring you closer to the world around you. Disarm

Evocative, visually stunning, and utterly unforgettable, DISARM spans a dozen countries to look at how, despite a global ban, millions of antipersonnel mines continue to claim victims daily in countries around the world. Co-directed by Mary Wareham, a leader of the International Campaign to Ban Landmines (ICBL), and photojournalist Brian Liu, DISARM features striking footage smuggled out of the isolated nation of Burma, scenes from a war-ravaged community in Colombia, footage from minefields in Iraq, and exclusive scenes shot by Afghan and Bosnian deminers.

The Least of These

A penetrating look at the T. Don Hutto Residential Center, a former medium-security prison that re-opened in 2006 as a prototype family detention center. The facility houses immigrant children and their parents from all over the world who are awaiting asylum hearings or deportation proceedings. The film leads viewers to consider how core American rights and values - protection of children, presumption of innocence, upholding the family structure as the basic unit of civil society, and America as a refuge of last resort - should apply to immigrants, particularly children.

The End of America

In the vein of An Inconvenient Truth, best-selling author Naomi Wolf makes a chilling case that American democracy is under threat. Expertly crafted by award-winning filmmakers Annie Sundberg and Ricki Stern (The Trials of Darryl Hunt) comes this provocative film, THE END OF AMERICA based on The New York Times best seller by the same name. With this galvanizing call to arms, she urges regular citizens to take back our legacy of freedom and justice.
