Director, Producer and Writer Cecile Leroy Beaulieu was born in Italy and educated in Switzerland and the United States. After graduating from Boston University, where she studied Film and TV production as well as Ethnographic filming she began her career as a commercial producer in New York City, Los Angeles, and Italy. She has produced major ad campaigns for Toyota, Vodaphone and Martini. In 2003 she debuted her directing career with HAIRWAX, a documentary film about Santa Fe artist Grant Hayunga.
As the granddaughter of an Italian shoemaker in Africa, she has always been drawn to the world of fashion design and custom tailoring. While living in Los Angeles she has been fortunate to develop a special friendship with Jack Taylor and was inspired to tell his story and document his illustrious and historical career. Currently, she lives in Rome with her husband, director Michael Haussman, and their young son.
