Still Standing follows filmaker Paola Mendoza as she visits her 70-year-old granmother Nubia at her Mississippi home, which was flattened during Hurricane Katrina. As they sift through the wreckage and contemplate the future, a moving relationship unfolds which proves that the bonds of family are strong enough to weather any disaster. Still Standing poses the questions for survivors "What would you most like now in life?," "Why would you stay here?," "What have you learned from this?" and illuminates the tenacity, humour and courage of a woman forced to "start over" at age 70.
