Marc Larre Miranda, influenced by the Situationist Movement, leaves his native Barcelona, Spain and travels to New York to live an extreme experience of poverty to grow and learn from it. Little does he know that he will be witnessing the worst attack ever on U.S. soil, the destruction of the World Trade Center on September 11th, 2001.

Marc understands that in order to heal and survive from this horrid experience, he needs to transform it into something positive and creative. Inspired to contribute something to that historical tragety, Marc creates a small poetic work of art that becomes an homage to New York. From used matchbooks either donated by local businesses or picked up off the street, Marc creates tiny New York skylines. He is an example of survival in poetic motion.
