Director's Bio:

Begonya Plaza grew up between Spain, Columbia and the United States. She attended the Los Angeles City College Theater Academy three-year program, and after playing a featured role in Walter Hill's 48 Hours, she moved to New York, continuing her acting studies with Gerladine Page, Michale Howard, Bill Hickey, and the National Shakespeare Company amongst others. She has been directed by Clint Eastwood, Michael Mann, Amy Jones, Oliver Stone, Tim Hunter, and Philip Seymour Hoffman. Kurt Palm directed Begonya in a one-woman theater piece of erotic songs and poems of Bertolt Brecht and Kurt Weill. Begonya has acted opposite Robert De Niro, Tom Cruise, Willem Dafoe, Klaus Kinski and Carrol O'Connor. She studied screenwriting at the American Film Institute, UCLA, NYU, and with Robert McKee. Souvenir Views is her third documentary, and aside from a fantastic festival run, the film aired on IFC from 2004-2007.
