May 6th

Murder--both real life and fictionalized--surrounds director Theo Van Gogh's MAY 6. The film is based on a real-life incident in which a prominent Dutch politician, Pim Fortuyn, was assassinated. Sadly, director Van Gogh met a similar fate in 2004, with life imitating art in the cruelest way possible as his life was cut short by a brutal murder.
