Sissy, a beautiful young dancer, wants to go to the Tropicana, the famous Cuban nightclub, but her father objects. Things are made more complicated when her father accidentally injures a young man, Sergito, and takes him in to recover from his wounds. Sergito and Sissy begin to fall in love, but there are more surprises in store for everybody.
