A stylish giallo from Sergio Martino in the vein of of Dario Argento's BIRD WITH THE CRYSTAL PLUMAGE, this convoluted thriller stars Evelyn Stewart as the recently-widowed Lisa Baumer. While she was with her lover in London, Lisa's husband died in a plane crash, and she stands to inherit a million dollars; en route to Athens to collect her money, a blackmailing ex-boyfriend is mysteriously murdered. The insurance company is suspicious, and puts ace investigator Peter Lynch (George Hilton, THE CASE OF THE BLOODY IRIS) on the job, but when prime suspect Lisa turns up dead and her money stolen, the culprit could be anyone. Also starring Luigi Pastilli, Anita Strindberg, Janine Reynaud and Luis Barboo, this is a well-constructed, tense thriller with a remarkable and memorable visual style.
