Director Nettie Wild travelled through the Mexican province of Chiapas to investigate the status of the Zapatista uprising that broke out in 1994. The crew meet the Zapatista leader, Subcommander Marcos, and see evidence that the country's problems will not be resolved easily. A unique and balanced documentary on the obstacles faced by Mexico's poorest residents and the uprising that brought their troubles to the world's attention. The camera crew was threatened by Mexican troops during filming.
