The Ballad of Bering Strait

DIRECTED BY - Nina Gilden Seavey

Emmy-award winning documentarian Nina Gilden Seavey spent three years travelling with Bering Strait, a country band composed of classically trained young Russian men and women, as they make the move from their homes in Obninsk, Russia to Nashville, Tennessee in hopes of finding music stardom. The band seems to be on the verge of achieving recognition as they record their debut record, only to get caught up in a maze of bad record deals, personal struggles, and hard-to-please audiences. Rich with great music and real-life drama, THE BALLAD OF BERING STRAIT is a funny and infectious look at a group of outsiders in search of the American dream.
