David Bonneville

David Bonneville is a London based filmmaker.
After obtaining a BA in Sound & Image, Bonneville was selected for the prestigious Gulbenkian Foundation Arts Programme with the German Film Academy in Berlin (DFFB). He also won the academic Excellence scholarship for his Master degree in Screenwriting and Producing received at the University of Westminster, London.

His film 'Heiko' won Best Short award in Copenhagen and a Special Mention at the 10th Slamdance Film Festival. Nominated at the RUSHES Soho Film Festival, it was screened in more than 50 film festivals worldwide and was acquired for DVD distribution in the UK and in Germany. 'Heiko' took Bonneville as film director to the 58th BERLINALE and propelled the funding of another film, 'Arch-In-The-Sky' (L'Arc-en-Ciel). This short won the Best Actress Award for Sofia Ferrao's electrifying performance and a Jury Mention at the 38th Film Festival of Nations, Austria.

Alongside his work as a film director, Bonneville has worked in projects for structures such as the BBC, Filmax, NBC_Universal Pictures, producer Paulo Branco's Gemini / Clap Filmes, HanWay Films and Entertainment1 (eOne group).

In 2011 he won the highly competitive Institute of Cinema and Audiovisual (ICA) fund to direct 'Gypsy', currently in post-production.
