Shawn Kittelsen

Shawn dropped out of NYU after his freshman year to live as an unemployed surfer in California, and then returned to college, where he completed his BFA in Dramatic Writing. While at NYU, four of his screenplays won coveted production allotments. His script for THEY SAY IT'S WONDERFUL also won a Warner Bros. Film Production Award and a Russel Hexter Filmmaking Grant, and his play FLOATING STEVE was recently nominated for multiple Kennedy Center Awards. Shawn has worked for NBC Digital Media, HBO and Esperanto Filmoj, where he was once sent to Mexico overight and came home with a mysterious rash. He is currently apprenticing with a renowned author & media theorist. Shawn spends his leisure time reading comic books, looking for the spaceship that brought him to this planet, and doctoring his friends' cover letters to get them jobs. Shawn thanks his parents for putting him through college, putting up with his BS, and encouraging him to never chase the chump change. He also thanks actress Christine Brumbaughfor being the Beauty to his Beast.
