N.C. Heikin started as a theatre actress and director/choreographer at La Mama ETC in New York. Along with several theatre pieces that toured the world, she created the memorable role of Carmilla in the opera of that title. She also worked extensively at the Public Theatre, including co-writing the libretto for Non Pasquale, presented at the Delacorte Theatre in Central Park under the auspices of the late Joseph Papp and directed by two time Tony winner Wilford Leach. Turning to screenwriting, Ms. Heikin worked for Paramount and Disney before moving to France, where she continued screenwriting for international TV co-productions. |
