Gloria LaMorte

As a filmmaker Gloria La Morte has taken an active role as a writer, director and editor.

Her career began in 1999 when she wrote and co-produced DETAILS, a dark comedy that had its television premiere on HBO after winning numerous festival awards.

Most recently ENTRE NOS marked her feature narrative film debut as cowriter, co-director and editor of this award winning film. In May 2009 the film received an Honorable Mention at the Tribeca Film Festival and won the Audience Award at the Newport Film Festival the following month.

Previously she edited a series of narratives and feature documentaries including AUTUMN'S EYES where she won the Best Documentary Editing Award at the 2006 Woodstock Film Festival, a credit she shares with husband and professional partner Joseph La Morte, WOVEN WAVES winner of five national film festival awards and LOVE AND LAUNDRY which she also produced and had its world premiere at the 2005 Sundance Film Festival, among others. Another critically acclaimed and award-winning production includes Alfredo De Villa's WASHINGTON HEIGHTS (2000) a film she co-produced.

Ms La Morte is currently writing her next feature project, a dark comedy titled ABOUT FATHERS & SONS ... and everyone else caught in the crossfire.
